Exhibit Name: SHINE

Eligibility: The exhibition is open to all AFAS artists.

Description: A Juried Exhibition Celebrating Frosty Times and Seasonal Good Will.

This is a call for all AFAS artists to submit your latest creations for SHINE, a juried exhibit at Red Dog Gallery celebrating this time of gift giving and goodwill. Up to five submissions per artist will be juried for this show. We encourage two and three-dimensional art in all mediums. Smaller art pieces are especially encouraged with a consideration to price point and size. The reception for SHINE will be held on Friday, Nov. 3 from 7 to 9 pm. The exhibit will run Nov. 3 to Jan. 27. We encourage all AFAS artists to share this event with friends on Facebook, Twitter and email.

Featured Artist Requirements and Consideration

Below are the criteria/requirements for a Red Dog Featured Artist:

  • A featured artist must be an AFAS member artist to submit.
  • A featured artist should have a minimum of a 9-15 piece collection of work ready for a cohesive show.
  • All work should not have been shown in Winston-Salem in the past 6 months (unless some of the pieces are part of a retrospective collection)
  • At least 6 images that are representative of your collection to be shown must be submitted.
  • The featured artist needs to provide a name for the exhibition and describe the concept.
  • The featured artist is responsible for providing a Full Artist Statement.
  • The show will debut during the First Friday Gallery Hop. The artist has the option to choose to have an additional reception at another time.

Below is the process if you are interested in being considered as a Red Dog Featured Artist

  • Complete the on-line submission below.
  • You will receive an email that your submission was received.
  • The Red Dog Curators will review your submission and you will be notified by email if you have been accepted.
  • Once accepted you will be contacted by the Red Dog Curator team to set-up an interview time.
  • Details about the exhibit will be discussed during the interview.
