Sowing Seeds Children’s Festival and Food Drive at ARTivity on the Green

On Sunday September 22nd from 1-5pm come do some art shopping with local youth artists under 18, enjoy some community engagement, watch all the performances by local groups and schools and donate to the Forsyth County School Food Pantry. Donations boxes are already available in the Red Dog Gallery. Artists will be set-up on Liberty Street between 6th and 7th streets with performances in the ARTivity on the Green art park. AFAS is co-hosting this event with the Sowing Seeds Team.

We are happy to announce the organizations and line up of entertainment for the 3rd annual Sowing Seeds Children's Festival and Food Drive!

Several of our community organizations will partner in providing free art activities for children and families:   Arts For Arts Sake, Kaleideum, Sawtooth School for Visual Arts, Bookmarks, Winston-Salem Mixxer Space, DENT creative reuse, West Salem Gardens, Youth Art Society, Winston Salem Suzuki School of Music, and Piedmont Doulas.  Piedmont Doulas  will have a mother and baby tent.

There will be free face painting and balloon art!

You can enjoy treats for your appetites by Lucianos Taqueria, The Big Yellow Truck, Kona Ice, Cafe Gelato, and Bingo Bango Sodas.

You will also have an opportunity to support our children artists sharing and selling their works of art!

This event is free, with all encouraged to bring a non-perishable item to donate to the WSFC Schools Food Pantry who will be on site collecting.
