Biography

Cortni Witherspoon is a creative director , graphic designer, copywriter, and gemstone jewelry maker/designer living in Greensboro NC. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, she holds degrees in English and Design and is owner of graphic design studio Clever Doodle Design LLC, and handmade jewelry line- Shakti and Shanti LLC

Cortni has worked with various clients in USA and abroad as a design consultant over two decades and started creating hand knotted gemstone jewelry in 2020 following her long standing interest in Yoga. Her jewelry is based on the concepts of 'Shakti' meaning power and 'Shanti' meaning peace in Hindi. This classification is made on the basis of gemstones' colors and spiritual qualities as described in vedic astrology. She finds the ancient process of beading very grounding, energizing and meditative and hopes the wearers of her jewelry to experience the power and peace of these natural gemstones.
