Biography

I was introduced to clay over 50 years ago while I was an art student at ETSU. I have taught high school, community college, and university classes in pottery. Now that I am older, I make as much pottery as I can while I can. I work in porcelain and pride myself on my craftsmanship. While I prefer cone 10 reduction, I now use an electric kiln firing cone 7-11 porcelain using cone 6 glazes fired to cone 7 to promote runs. I mainly do functional work although I occasionally do ceramic sculpture.
