Biography

My inspiration lies in seeing commonplace scenarios with an artistic view. Transparency is one of the reasons I love watercolors. They’re self-illuminating! Light and shade are of immense importance in any painting. Equally important is composition. And textures particularly excite me. I pay meticulous attention to a balanced combination of these aspects. I believe and hope that my art inspires varied thought and interpretation. What inspires me to be an artist is the excitement of seeing how a blank surface can be transformed into anything you wish! I enjoy the ritual of setting out the water, paints, paper, and everything in between. Art helps me disconnect and rejuvenate!

I consider myself a lifelong learner, and hope to keep working on perfecting my skill and sharing it with the community every chance I get.
