Biography

The conceptual photo composites by Bethany Perron exemplify her deep love of story, and often have the solid-yet-unreal quality of a dream. Pulling themes from fantasy, fairy tale, and science fiction, she combines scores of photo layers to create images that tug at the archetypal within us. Each work is a moment caught in time, sometimes dark, sometimes challenging, that nevertheless draws the viewer into an exchange full of questions, into a space where mystery, power, and knowledge are more important than outward beauty.
