Biography

Bussie Parker Kehoe is an artist who recently relocated to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with her family. She studied printmaking and drawing at the University of Virginia, then worked in a myriad of jobs in Washington, DC before refocusing on art.

Bussie spends the bulk of her studio time tinkering—no material or process is off-limits.

Currently, she is working on a Memory Mirage mixed-media series, inspired by her memories growing up as a young Korean-American girl in Washington DC, her memories of her children, and her experiences as a preschool art teacher. Each spare drawing is a tiny, pure memory nugget, formed within a child’s limited world experience.
