Type of Work: Mixed Media
Jon Rollins (b. 1991) makes abstract mixed media works through media experimentation and variations of process. Image making is a series of oscillations between spontaneous, intuitive movements and methodical structuring and editing. His imagery incorporates realistic cues, illustration, doodles, and abstract patterns and textures. He received his BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in Printmaking from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2013. Jon has exhibited work in Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and Greensboro. In the summer of 2017, he received the David Marshall Scholarship to attend the Penland School of Crafts. Also a freelance graphic and web designer, Jon creates work ranging from company websites to band gig posters. He lives and works in High Point, NC.
