Biography

I graduated from Western Carolina University with a BS degree in math and science, grades 6-9, and K-5 Elementary. Since I was 4 years old, I have found joy and pleasure in creating. Now, after raising 4 children and teaching for 10 years, I am able to pursue my artistic dreams much more fully. Over the years, I have painted using a variety of media, as time permitted. I have always enjoyed using watercolors, acrylics, and pencil. I have painted on canvas, wood, paper, and walls. My most notable efforts, which were very well received, were murals that I painted on bricks and dry wall. After retiring from teaching, I began working with acrylic paint on various textures and readily took to this style.
