Bio:

Kaylee, born and raised in the heart of North Carolina, discovered her passion for glass during high school and has been pursuing it ever since. After completing her studies, she advanced to new opportunities. Teaching herself Lampworking, and moving into her own studio where she has all the freedom to explore the wonders of glass without restrictions; Kaylee utilizes it to craft vibrant and whimsical pieces filled with color and vitality. She loves to spread her excitement for the glass arts with others and hopes to inspire future artists.

Statement:

My artwork is a reflection of my own personality. Recently, I have come to realize that I am fiery and tend to be emotional, feeling everything so intensely all the time. This is why I have an intimate relationship with glass. I see myself in the reflections of the glass, in the flame that comes from my torch. Teaching me patience that I never had before. Although this craft involves high levels of intensity, the sculptures and jewelry I craft do not stem from the negativity but from the passion for the glass arts, my love for color, and learning. Working with glass helps me find peace amid the fire. My aim is to bring joy to everyone through my creations, whether it's by wearing them to feel beautiful, using them as decor to brighten their homes, or by simply bringing a smile to their faces.
