Title: “Pink Lemonade” by Betsy Hamilton
Location: Second floor hall
Created: 2016
Inspiration: Represents a few great feminine characteristics represented in the body of a young girl.
Strength, feistiness, creativity coupled with a tough unconventional prettiness.
Perhaps her tutu has seen days scampering up trees where she’s drawn sketches of dreams with the crayons she keeps handy in her hair. She’s a loving tribute to spirited daughters everywhere.
Girl Power!
Pink Lemonade was created on a donated Hanes mannequin base with acrylic paints, magazine tears and found and saved objects. Her combat-style sneakers were a lucky find at Goodwill.
