After starting out with water color classes with Ginnie Conaway as my instructor, I met a classmate, Dee McKay, who taught me the art of collage.  From working with collage I developed a more three-dimensional collage style, miniature forms, for a miniatures art show at the CAC Gallery of the Arts.  My miniatures, AKA Elfins, are constructed on canvas.  I use fabric, yarn, roving, acrylic paints, wire, beads, popsicle sticks, and any other material that appeals to me.  Along the way I have taken workshops in needlepoint felting and Shibori at the Sawtooth Center, and lessons in spinning wool at Knit Picky, a shop in Winston-Salem.  My art changes constantly as I learn more art and apply different techniques.
