The AFAS Story
-Developed an emerging artist mentoring program designed to council artists on the “business of art”.
-Awarded 7 scholarships to excelling
school students in the
-Produced 7 solo art shows for emerging artists at our headquarters (Studio 2) in the Arts District.
-Sponsored and produced 7 multi event/week art and fine craft street festivals (Arts on Sunday Series). This Series was punctuated by strong advertising and producing a performing arts component each day the Series was held to add to the overall experience for those who attended. All this free of charge to participating Artists and the Community. There are currently over 70 artist signed up to participate. As a side note we are proud that over 20 of these artists have found Galleries to place their work due in great part to their exposure at Arts on Sunday. As an added feature to the overall experience to this family oriented event we also have “The Kids Corner” where children can make their own piece of art and get involved in the Arts at a young age.
