The AFAS Group has been established to fill a need in the arts community in Winston Salem, N.C. This group of business professionals has come together to aid burgeoning artists in the promotion and marketing of their trade.

Our research has shown that many talented artists (both visual and performing) never achieve their just exposure or success because of a lack of opportunity and mentoring in the “business of art”. The AFAS Group has begun to fill this void by sponsoring and promoting these artists in Winston Salem, N.C.

Our mission is to develop a series of events, including but not limited to Yearly Arts Festivals held in Downtown Winston Salem to give these artists professional exposure in their field. In conjunction we plan to sponsor individual art showings of selected artists at our Headquarters/Studio during the monthly Gallery Hops which take place in the Downtown Arts District.

The final piece or focus is to work with artists to help them with the presentation of their work to Galleries and potential clients; help them establish a business like approach; and give counsel on their future potential and opportunities.

In order to fund these initiatives The AFAS Group will pursue grants and arts oriented fund raising events.
